TAPAS welcomes Chef James Campbell Caruso from La Boca Restaurant, Santa Fe, NM, who will be doing a cooking demonstration and serving a tapa at our 2011 Grand Wine Tasting. La Boca was chosen “Santa Fe’s Best Tapas” by Travel and Leisure and has been featured on "Giada's Weekend Getaways" on the Food Network.
Working with La Boca's Wine Director, Adam Johnson, Chef Caruso was one of only five finalists vying to represent the U.S. in the 2011 Copa Jerez food and Sherry pairing competition. This event is sponsored by the Sherry Council in Jerez, Spain, and includes national chef-sommelier teams from around the world with their most innovative recipes and Sherry pairings. Chef Caruso was also a James Beard nominee for Best Chef in the Southwest in every year from 2006-2010.
La Boca is a tapas restaurant/wine bar featuring a Spanish-inspired menu, and has won almost every local award in Santa Fe. We're thrilled to have Chef Caruso as part of our 2011 event!
