TAPAS member Bokisch Vineyards has 360 gallons of 2010 Grenache stored in neutral oak barrels. It was fermented with oak chips and quite a bit of juice was bled off to enhance the color as well. They will be putting samples together and would like to get $12.50 a gallon pumped and $13.00 if it goes with the barrel. Contact Markus Bokisch, Markus@bokischranches.com.
On Monday, May 2, 2011, from 1-5 pm, Vibrant Rioja and Wines from Spain present the Vibrant Rioja Grand Tasting - "The Heart of Tempranillo," at the Westin St. Francis, 335 Powell Street (on Union Square) in San Francisco, CA.
This tasting will also be presented in New York City on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at La.venue New York, 608 West 28th Street.

We're getting ready for the annual Newsom Vineyards Grape Day. We have a great list of speakers and some equipment demonstrations.
The list of speakers includes Dr. Ed Hellman, Dr. Andrew Snyder, Fritz Westover, Dr. Brent Trela, Lou Bright, Dr. Thomas Thompson and of course all our big toys..
NOTICE!!! Our Honorable State Representative Charles Perry has agreed to be our Luncheon guest!!!!
Our next-door neighbor to the north, 2-B Ranch, is going to cater the Chuck Wagon BB-Q so bring a big appetite.
Also, bring your favorite bottle of wine. This will be for quality control and also gets you in the VIP section.
We have a few camping spaces for those that want to bring their campers. If you have a tent we have plenty of wide open spaces.
There is no charge, so the price is right. We would like to collect a lunch donation for the scholarship fund.
